Nel secondo set la partita è girata con il break al terzo gioco, poi De Jong ha accusato un problema al polso destro per via di una caduta e ha perso gli ultimi tre game del match. Sinner affronterà negli ottavi Francisco Cerundolo, come nel 2023.
