Match in cui Musetti (che non perdeva al 1° turno in uno Slam dagli US Open 2023) non è mai stato realmente in controllo, se non nel corso del secondo set che ha vinto 6-4 grazie al break conquistato nel settimo game. Al secondo turno, Basilashvili affronterà un altro azzurro: Lorenzo Sonego.
