Nella prima sfida di giornata una super Elisabetta Cocciaretto ha battuto Emma Navarro con un doppio 6-4 dominando dall’inizio alla fine, con una grande prova nel secondo set in cui ha dovuto recuperare anche un break di svantaggio. Dopo Cocciaretto, è toccato a Jasmine Paolini che ha sconfitto Jessica Pegula 6-4, 6-2. Prestazione magnifica di Jasmine, che nel primo parziale ha annullato ben 4 palle break (di cui tre nello stesso game). L’Italia conquista così la sesta BJK Cup/Fed Cup della sua storia e sale al quarto posto all-time in solitaria per trionfi nella competizione.
