Per la prima volta in campo sul centrale, la ventiduenne francese non ha tremato e negli ottavi di finale ha regolato in rimonta la più forte ed esperta Jessica Pegula (WTA 3) con il punteggio di 3-6 6-4 6-4. Dopo una frazione d’apertura in cui la statunitense ha fatto la differenza nel finale, la beniamina di casa è stata brava a non scoraggiarsi nella seconda dopo il primo break dell’avversaria. In quel momento ha posto le basi per il suo successo, dando vita ad un terzo set equilibrato e terminato dopo due game (nono e decimo) interminabili. Boisson dovrà ora vedersela con il talento di Mirra Andreeva (6), che dal canto suo ha piegato per 6-3 7-5 l’australiana Darja Kasatkina (17).
