Roma, 30 lug. (askanews) – Arriva un altro forfait per Matteo Berrettini. L’azzurro purtroppo salterà anche il Masters 1000 di Cincinnati (torneo che potrete seguire in diretta su Sky e in streaming su NOW). Non ci sono ancora comunicazioni ufficiali in merito alle cause di questa rinuncia, ma di fatto si tratta del quarto forfait consecutivo per Berrettini: Gstaad, Kitzbuhel, Toronto e adesso si aggiunge Cincinnati. L’azzurro era rientrato a Wimbledon a fine giugno dopo l’infortunio di Roma (ancora l’addome): nel prestigioso torneo londinese Matteo era uscito subito al 1° turno contro il polacco Kamil Majchrzak (in quel momento numero 108 al mondo). Dopo Wimbledon, appunto, sono arrivati quattro forfait consecutivi per Berrettini: da capire adesso quale sarà la decisione dell’azzurro in vista degli US Open. Questi forfait hanno avuto un effetto negativo anche sulla classifica, dato che l’azzurro è uscito dalla top 50.
