Una buona prestazione da parte dell’azzurro che ha chiuso la partita con 9 ace e con l’80% di punti vinti con la prima. Berrettini sfiderà al prossimo turno Cameron Norrie (numero 35 al mondo), che all’esordio ha eliminato il numero 7 del seeding Rublev in tre set. Sarà la terza sfida tra i due, con il romano che è avanti 2-0 nei precedenti. Agli ottavi c’è anche Flavio Cobolli. L’azzurro ha battuto al debutto il ceco Tomas Machac (numero 31 al mondo) con il punteggio di 7-6(6), 6-2. Agli ottavi, Cobolli attende il vincitore della sfida tra Sinner e Altmaier.
