Tanti rischi presi e tanta velocità, una combinazione perfetta per chiudere con il crono di 1:40.68. Medaglia d’argento a Vincent Kriechmayr che paga 24 centesimi di ritardo, bronzo ad Alexis Monney. Ai piedi del podio, invece, c’è Dominik Paris. Un quarto posto amaro per l’azzurro, lontano 14 centesimi dalla medaglia, con il podio sfumato a causa di un errore nel terzo parziale. Quinto Marco Odermatt che dice addio al sogno tripletta dopo l’oro in superG. In ombra gli altri italiani: Schieder è 16°, Franzoni 21° e Casse 22°
