(askanews) – Roberto Mancini ha accettato l’offerta dell’Al Sadd, club di vertice del Qatar, rilanciando la sua carriera dopo l’esperienza da ct dell’Saudi Arabia national football team. L’accordo prevede un contratto che lo legherà al club asiatico fino a maggio 2026. Nella scelta ha avuto peso la volontà di tornare in attività con un progetto ambizioso, piuttosto che restare in attesa in Europa: l’ipotesi Serie A si è offuscata, e il Qatar ha rappresentato l’occasione giusta per ripartire. Per il club qatariota, già campione nazionale e con un ricco palmarès, è una mossa strategica: si punta a tornare protagonisti anche in ambito continentale, e Mancini offre l’esperienza internazionale che mancava. Il debutto ufficiale potrebbe arrivare nella prossima gara di Champions asiatica prevista per il 24 novembre. Nel frattempo, manca solo la firma definitiva e l’annuncio ufficiale.
