Roma, 17 ott. (askanews) – La Banca centrale europea tiene la barra dritta sui tassi di interesse. A settembre il Consiglio ha deciso di lasciare invariati al 2% i tassi di interesse e “siamo determinati ad assicurare che l’inflazione si stabilizzi al nostro obiettivo del 2% nel medio termine. Per determinare l’appropriata linea monetaria, manterremo un approccio in cui le decisioni vengono prese volta per volta, sulla base dei dati, senza vincolarci ad alcun percorso predeterminato sui tassi”. Lo afferma la presidente della Bce, Christine Lagarde nel suo intervento al 52º incontro del comitato monetario e finanziario internazionale, in occasione delle assemblee autunnali di Fmi e Banca mondiale.
